Mother did crack cocaine. when the police would come to our house , I would hide my siblings. I knew they would separate us if they found out what was going on. i wasn't born with a silver spoon. but I didn't let this stop me. I have been an entrepreneur for over 15 years.

"My mission is to help women everywhere achieve financial independence and give their families a better life, no matter the obstacles."

When i was 10 years old, on thanksgiving, I was dropped off with some of my siblings at my grandmother's house by someone who sold drugs to my mother. my mother never come back to get us. so, four of us lived in my grandmother's one-bedroom apartment. this was the first time I felt safe. spurred by so much inconsistency in my life, I started doing drugs in middle school, getting into fights and failing. my grandmother's boyfriend andy offered to get me a computer if i applied myself and got straight as.

I've always believed it's about working smarter, not harder. so i sat my teachers down and apologized, explaining that i wanted to do better and asking if they could check my homework before i handed it in. After that, i saw the power of negotiation and the strength in letting others help you. But good grades did not last long.

"With more freedom and less guidance, i dropped out of the ninth grade and got pregnant with my oldest daughter. I was always good at making the things i was passionate about happen.  And i knew i wanted to build my own business."

Then i turned 18yrs old i started the first diaper delivery service, then i did interior home design, then nightclub design and party planning. I even helped a psychiatrist launch her brick and mortar business. From there, i became the go-to person for all of my friends when they wanted to start a business. I started mentoring for the YWMCA, the SBA and SCORE to help people pursue their dreams.

"My dreams took an unexpected turn after i married a man i met at an event i organized and he started being abusive."

He wanted me to focus on getting a steadier job. I was heavy into church i was involved in spoke strongly about the importance of listening to your husband, even if he leads you down the wrong path. God will deal with him, they said. But my children and i suffered mental and physical abuse.

in 2017 After taking some personal time, I decided to start my own business again. i followed the formula in Tim Ferris' Four-Hour Work Week because i wanted to have more freedom to enjoy life with my  children. In just one year after leaving my ex-husband, i started a Hair Company that made over $160, 000 in its first year, with over 50% profit. in 2018, he strangled me and that was when i left with my kids.

"All my life, I'VE adopted a survivor mentality, no matter what happens, we must move forword and never let our circumstances define us. "

I believe no one gets anywhere alone in life. I found my first business mentor by contacting a women i looked up to from a famous television show.

Before working with her, I was hustling to learn how to grow my business on my own. I read countless books, went to live seminars, and did SBA and SCORE  business courses. it took me a long time to learn how to start and run a business.  And it wasn't until I met with my mentor that I learned how to create a business system that gave me freedom, rather than a business that gave me another job.

This experience taught me I could get so much further so much faster through working with people who already achieved what I was working toward. my mentor had learned what she knew the third way.  by sitting down and having someone to hold me accountable, my business grew exponentially fast.

There are a million excuses for why we've been through too much, don't have enough money, or the timing is wrong to pursue our own businesses. I get it. I've been through it all too

"But life has shown me that there is always a way to make it work, even on a small budget, limited schedule, and the most challenging circumstances "

Do it together,
step-by-step.
THE TIME IS NOW , LOVE.
